  1. About A60 Rescue Mission

  3. Cosmologik presents A60 Rescue Mission, it's futuristic 3D action game for the Power 
  4. Macintosh. In A60 Rescue Mission, you take the commands of a highly maneuverable and
  5. powerfully-armed vessel. Your mission is to save all probes and avoid computer-generated
  6. enemies through increasingly challenging levels. By simulating physical forces of nature, Cosmologik
  7. was able to add a very good amount of realism to A60 Rescue Mission. Variables like the mass of
  8. the objects, their speed or the attraction that gravity puts on them are all processed in real time to
  9. determine where everything should appear at any given moment during the game. You won't find
  10. preprogrammed movements in A60 Rescue Mission, so no two games will be identical!

  15. You can freely distribute the demonstration version of A60 Rescue Mission anywhere you want as
  16. long as you provide all accompanying files and NO registration code. The registration code is
  17. personal to you and is attached to your name and address. Violators will be pursued in court. Get
  18. the latest version from our web site at http://www.cosmologik.com.

  21. How to unlock the demo
  22.  
  23. The version of A60 Rescue Mission that is distributed is a demonstration version of the complete
  24. game. The complete version lets you play with more than 80 increasingly difficult levels with
  25. more enemies and more action. To unlock the demo version and get access to all the features of
  26. the game, do the following (see next section for more details):

  28. 1) Go online to http://orders.kagi.com/?2ZW
  29.      That’s the order page for ordering Cosmologik’s products on Kagi’s secured servers.
  30.      (Alternatively, you could use the Register application that is provided with the package. This
  31.      application lets you pay by regular mail, fax, email or online.)

  33. 2) Follow the instructions on screen.
  34.      The fastest and easiest way of registering your copy is online. It’s safe and reliable. The $25.00
  35.      that we ask will help usto create more games in the future. Thanks for your support! Kagi will
  36.      confirm your purchase by sending you a secret registration code by email.

  38. 3) Launch the game
  39.  
  40. 4) Press escape, this will pause the game
  41.  
  42. 5) Choose About A60 Rescue Mission… in the Apple menu while holding down the command
  43. key. The registration dialog should appear.
  44.  
  45. 6) Enter the secret code (sent to you by Kagi) in the appropriate text box.
  46.      Remember that this code is private to you because you have paid for the software.
  47.      Please report suspicious use of code you might find. Illegal use of commercial
  48.      software is unlawful and keeps companies like us from creating more games.
  49.      Please pay for what you use.

  51. 7) Click on the OK button and dismiss the about box.
  52.      You are back to the “Pause” screen and your game is now fully functional. You’re now ready to
  53.      play the game at it’s full potential. Enjoy!

  55. Important notice: To prevent illegal duplication, your game is fitted with a protection
  56. mechanism that will force you to enter the registration code whenever you duplicate the
  57. game, either on your own machine or on other’s.

  62. A60 Rescue Mission has the following pricing:

  64. - Single user licenses, in English or French, US $25.00 per user.

  66. Paying for A60 Rescue Mission is fairly simple. The fastest and easiest method is to point your
  67. web browser to the secured Kagi server at http://order.kagi.com/?2ZW and give the information
  68. they need for processing your order.

  70. Alternatively, you can use the Register application that accompanies A60 Rescue Mission.
  71. Launch the Register application and enter your name, your email address, and the number of
  72. single user licenses you desire for each program you wish to purchase. Save or Copy or Print the
  73. data from the Register program and send the data and payment to Kagi. Kagi handles our
  74. payment processing and your money will reach us without problem.

  76. If paying with Credit Card, you can email or fax the data to Kagi. Their email address is
  77. sales@kagi.com and their fax number is 1-510-652-6589. You can either Copy the data from
  78. Register and paste it into the body of an email message or you can Save the data to a file and you
  79. can attach that file to an email message. There is no need to compress the data file, it's already
  80. pretty small. If you have a fax modem, just Print the data to the Kagi fax number.

  82. Payments sent via email are processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email
  83. acknowledgement when it is processed. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days, and if you
  84. provide a correct internet email address you will receive an email acknowledgement.

  86. If you are paying with Cash or USD Check, you should print the data using the Register
  87. application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:

  94. You can pay with a wide variety of currencies from different countries but at present if you pay
  95. via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi cannot accept checks in other currencies,
  96. the conversion rate for non-USD checks is around $15 per check and that is just not practical.

  98. Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or Invoice as the payment
  99. method. As far as we know, there is still no technology to transfer physical objects via fax or
  100. email and without the payment, the form cannot be processed! ;-)

  102. Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10 days for processing.
  103. Again, if you include a correct email address, you will hear from Kagi when the form is
  104. processed.

  122. Performance notice
  123.  
  124. If you encounter performance drop or erroneous behavior during the playing
  125. of the game, it is probably caused by a lack of performance of your video
  126. card. To prevent some of these problems, you may try to reduce the
  127. resolution setting in the preferences dialog, turn off the video mirroring
  128. option of your system or by limiting the number of open applications. It's
  129. also possible that video cards from third-party, like the 3dfx' Voodoo 3,
  130. will not accelerate QuickDraw 3D at all.  Note that the default ATI cards
  131. that are provided with recent Macintoshes should work with no problem.
